YOGA tanslated actually means 'UNION' or 'JOIN". Partner yoga is a dance between two people of giving and receiving, where we physically join together to cretae yoga postures. Partner yoga creates the opertunity for growth and transformation in our relationships and lives. Healing touch creates a powerful bond and communicates in an honest way words can not. Partner yoga provides opertunities to be open, trust, surrender and be there for another, all within the confines of a simple yoga posture created together! Partner Yoga is for couples or partners. It is not just for the flexible , and not just for those with yoga experience. There are many metaphores in partner yoga for relationships to explore. We learn to be supported by the force of gravity and our partner. Balance is a large part of partner yoga as in relationships.
Acknowledging the ever changing nature in our existences and the challenges that come with that, and how to cultivate more balance through giving and receiving. The intention is not only to increase flexibility, strength and in some situtations intimacy as we struggle to consciously and physically join together.
Sessions can range from 1-3 hours and are choreographed for specific needs of each partner. Levels of experience and difficulty will be assessed and taken into consideration. All levels are welcome. Partners will take home appropriate postures to practice together.
Aerial Partner Yoga
Aerial Yoga is an extension of partner yoga taking it to a more difficult level by adding a flyer and a base. Presenting more difficult challanges of balance, strength, flexability and yes trust, compassion and surrendering. It is a lot of FUN!
